Thank you everyone for taking part in the recent survey, where we asked you to help choose the movies that would be shown on the Bighton Big Screen in the first part of 2019. In addition to the choice of movies we were keen to understand how often they should be screened and which were the most popular days of the week.
Perhaps unsurprisingly the big blockbusters Bohemian Rhapsody and Mamma Mia Here We Go Again topped the list. More of a surprise was Peterloo, which was in joint second place with Mamma Mia HWGA. Fourth place was a tie between Christopher Robin and First Man. Our original intention was to screen movies monthly between January and April, but we felt that we had to squeeze in all five of these movies because of their popularity.
One other major finding from the survey was that there is clear wish that movies are screened on weekdays as well as Saturdays. Therefore in the new season we will alternating screenings between Fridays and Saturdays.
