Charity Cycle Event 22 July

We have been informed by St Michael's Hospice in Basingstoke that their biggest fundraising event of the year, will be taking place this Sunday 22nd July. Big Wheel is a cycling event which takes riders in and around the Hampshire countryside and its surrounding local villages.

The organisers have informed us that we are likely to experience high volumes of traffic in Bighton & Gundleton since one of the routes uses Chalky Hill, Bighton Road, Bighton Lane and Northside Road. The first cyclists will leave Basingstoke at 9am and the last route group at 11am latest depending on the length of route they are cycling.

They apologise in advance for any convenience this may cause and would like to thank residents for their support and cooperation.

Further details and maps of the routes can be found here.
