Thank you everyone for taking part in the recent survey, where you told us which movies you would like us to show during the Bighton Big Screen summer season.
There were four films that were far and away the most popular and it looks as though all the publicity surrounding the Oscars and BAFTAs helped shaped your choices.
Surprisingly, the film that topped the list, Stan and Ollie, came nowhere in our survey for the previous season. At that time there had been little publicity for what is a very good film. Perhaps Steve Coogan's tour of all the chat shows helped!
In equal second place were two big Oscar winners. Winner for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor and for Best Screenplay, Green Book and The Favourite with everyone's favourite actor and winner of Best Actress, Olivia Colman. Taking the final spot in our season is Mary Queen of Scots an enjoyable historical drama starring Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie as the rival Tudor queens and David Tennant as the fulminating misogynistic preacher John Knox.
As in the last season the movies will be shown on either Fridays or Saturdays.
Finally, don't forget that there is one film left in our winter season. Ryan Gosling and Claire Foye star in the excellent First Man which charts the journey of Neil Armstrong, from the time he joined the US space programme to when he became the first man to step on the moon.
